Jaycee King is a rising country artist known for his unique blend of modern country, rock, and metal influences. Hailing from the small town of Cochrane, Ontario, Jaycee’s musical journey has been shaped by his diverse upbringing, with influences ranging from the heavy riffs of Metallica to the storytelling tradition of Morgan Wallen and Hardy.
Starting his music career at the age of 12, Jaycee picked up his first guitar and quickly developed a passion for both playing and performing. By 15, he became the frontman of his high school band after their lead singer left, further honing his vocal abilities and stage presence. Over the next several years, Jaycee’s talent grew joining his father Mitch Jean's country rock band at 16 as a guitarist and backup vocalist, gaining invaluable experience in songwriting, performing, and collaborating with seasoned musicians.
In 2022, Jaycee embarked on his solo career, departing from his father’s band to forge his own path. Since then, he has released singles like "Little Small Town," "When I Lied to You," and "Another Round" (featuring Reezy), showcasing his raw talent and relatable songwriting. With a distinct sound that fuses a metal/rock edge with modern country, Jaycee has captivated audiences and earned a reputation for his powerful performances.
In 2024, Jaycee further demonstrated his songwriting skills by co-writing tracks like "Tennessee," "Pourquoi Pas," and "Jusqu'à Mort" on his father Mitch Jean's debut album "Pourquoi Pas," proving his versatility as both a musician and a creative force.
With a deep passion for his craft and an unwavering drive to make authentic music, Jaycee King is poised to leave a lasting mark on the country music scene.
