Biography

Jaycee King is a Canadian country artist blending modern country storytelling with rock and metal grit. Raised in the small town of Cochrane, Northern Ontario, his sound is shaped by blue-collar roots, loud guitars, and real-life experiences — drawing influence from artists like Morgan Wallen, Eric Church, HARDY, and Metallica.

He began playing guitar at 12 and quickly developed a passion for performing. By 15, Jaycee had become the frontman of his high school band, building his vocal confidence and stage presence. At 16, he joined his father Mitch Jean’s country-rock band as a guitarist and backing vocalist, spending over seven years performing live and developing his skills as both a musician and songwriter.

In 2022, Jaycee stepped out on his own to launch his solo career. He has since released singles including Little Small Town, When I Lied to You, and Another Round (featuring Reezy), establishing a sound that blends emotional country songwriting with a rock-driven edge.

Now based in the Ottawa area, Jaycee holds a diploma in Recording Audio Engineering and Music Production and actively co-produces his own material. In 2024, he co-wrote tracks such as Tennessee, Pourquoi Pas, and Jusqu’à Mort on Mitch Jean’s debut album Pourquoi Pas.

Grounded, confident, and unapologetically real, Jaycee King continues to carve his own lane in Canadian country — connecting country and rock audiences with a sound built for live stages and loud nights.
